Our business is producing books of memoirs for individual authors

Established in Florida in 2001, TELLING YOUR STORY, INC. is a book producing company.  We produce books from start to finish. We start with the origin of your idea and help you build your story, whether from a yellow pad of scribbled notes, a draft of your manuscript, a computer file, or from nothing more than your desire to tell our story without a word written on paper.

Because we know how important it is for you to tell your story, we adapt our technique to your needs.  If you have not written a word, we can record you as you tell of your memories in the privacy of your home or office.  We accommodate your needs in terms of the number and length of those digital recordings—usually about a two hour session and about four or five sessions.

But first we begin with a contract for services which is unique for each individual author.  We specify just what services we will provide and when they will be provided and when you can expect the book to be finished. Most people want from 50 to 200 books, but that is up to you, too. Usually, it takes about 14 months for a book to be completed, from start to finish.  It is truly a gift of lifetime.

If an author has written a manuscript, we help edit and shape the manuscript.  And then we give it to our excellent graphic artist, who designs the layout for the book, according to the size and number of pages the author wishes, on the average about 125 pages.

And you select about 25 black and white and color photographs that you want to have in your book, from old photos of you or family to events during your lifetime to up-to-date photos as you are today.

You also select the color and type of covering you wish for your book, based on the choices from our high quality bindery.  They make each book individually with a gold stamped title and lettering on the spine. The outcome is a handsome book, uniquely yours, endearingly yours, told in your words, exactly as you want your story told.
